Fairy Cakes 1.2.3
for 48 small cakes:
250 g (8oz) butter
250 g (8oz) sugar
4 eggs, beaten
500 g (16oz) s-r flour
1\4 tsp salt
1 tbsp skim milk powder
250 ml (8 oz) water (I forgot to add and it was fine :))
chopped walnuts and soaked raisins (my addition instead of vanilla)

Method:
1. Beat the butter and sugar to a cream. Add the eggs gradually and beat thoroughly.
2. Sift the flour, milk and salt over the butter-egg mixture and fold-in lightly (and nuts and raisins if you use). Add the water and fold through.
3. Spoon the mixture into patty pans. Bake in a preheated to 190C oven for 17-20 minutes.
